A Peek In our New Tranquil Guest Bedroom With Highline Bedding Co.

We have made some great progress on our new guest room lately so I thought I'd give you a peek at it! I'm glad to get this done because this room will get so much use.  We've actually had three sets of guests stay in it this month while it was only partially finished!

Recently I inherited a 1980s traditional cherry bedroom set with brass hardware that was my grandparents'. I planned to use it for this room, but when I put the headboard up against the log wall, it wasn't the look I had in mind at all.  So out it came and into my spray booth to get a coat of flat black enamel.  I love using that paint on furniture because it gives the look of chalk paint but is more durable in my opinion.  It made such a difference and now the black really pops against the log walls!

And because I always like to add an unexpected piece to a room, I drip painted this thrifted lamp.  I figured since I only paid $2.50 for it, I could afford to take a risk with it LOL!  I will do a tutorial on this soon too.
