Fall Decor in the Cabin

I love to decorate for the seasons, and Fall is my absolute favorite!  I think it's because the last few weeks of our Coastal North Carolina Summers are so hot and humid.  The minute we start cooling off, I'm ready to pull out the Fall decor.  I'm so happy to be part of a week long Fall Decor and Entertaining Home Tour.  Make sure you check out all of the other tours linked at the bottom.

This year I am keeping things simple and reusing a lot of what I already had on hand.  We have multiple renovation projects going on currently and while they keep us very busy, I still crave adding seasonal touches.

This Fall, I'm going pumpkin-less!  Fall decor without pumpkins...whaaaaat?  It wasn't intentional, I just happened to find some cute little mini-squash and after a few other new things, I didn't really need anything else. So let's get started in the mudroom!

We are a multi-generational household and eight people, including our four kids, use this entrance all day long.  I'm all about things being pretty, but it also has to work for our lifestyle so again, simple.  A purple mum on a thrifted cheese box, a sign from last year, and a wood apple that I've had forever complete this little spot.

And heading into the kitchen, my china cabinet is one of my favorite pieces to decorate. If you follow me on Instagram, you may remember I did one of those "put it somewhere for safe keeping" things with that Indian corn.  I've had this corn for years and this year I accidentally hid it from myself!  Thankfully someone's suggestion that I may have put it in one of the picnic baskets (why didn't I think of that???) was right!

I used to sell these little birch slice wreaths in my Etsy shop, and this was the last one that I decided to keep for myself.

My curtains and blues and greens aren't exactly traditionally Fall-ish colors, but I found this runner at Home Goods with the same colors.  Plaid says Fall to me, and in these colors, it helps tie everything together with a Fall vibe.

I'm not usually a faux flower person, but these paper flowers I found at Hobby Lobby spoke to me because they look exactly like wildflowers on our country roads that I gather and bring inside.  I love them in this ironstone pitcher.

I found these cute grapevine pears at Home Goods recently and they continued my pear theme from my Fall Porch Tablescape.  Everything else on the table is either stuff I've had forever, like the plates, or thrifted.  These cool vintage glasses are a find from one of my favorite sellers, Refindment.

Over by the sink, I've been drying a few summer berries and flowers. And I found these tiny little squash at Hobby Lobby recently that I put in my antique egg basket.

Heading into the living room, I just added these cool yellow Billy Buttons, another Hobby Lobby find.  They were a funky little Seussical addition to my cabin living room.  The D and 6 are kind of our family code, our last name starts with D and there are six of us.

Well, thank you so much for stopping by for a little Fall in the cabin!  Next head on over to Peonies & Orange Blossoms and see what Angelina has going on!  And see all of the posts below so you don't miss anything from the week!
